@meRyanP All i did was mention the pilots they hire are safe; excluding other airlines. Just a simple comment on a youtube video. I just said they hire the "best" pilots, not always as a literal term. hell, i think hershey makes the "best" chocolate, but thats my opinion. what ever southwest is doing, they should keep it up.

@bajesus666 You're an idiot again, Southwest doesn't hire people without an ATP. You also have to get your own 737 type rating. I'm not sure why you bring up the safety record, a good safety record can be achieved by any airline pilot, it comes down to MX 9 out of 10 times. Southwest is the only airline to have the same major incident happen twice within two years (top of the plane coming off). I like Southwest, but you are over glorifying the pilots.

@meRyanP Southwest ranks second in the US safety record with 0.0000203 accidents per flight. Also, during an interview the person doing the hiring will choose only the best. 15 year Air Force KC-10 pilot with 2000 hours who has been flying since he was 16 is a better candidate than someone who just graduated Riddle with barely enough time for ATP certificate. Good hiring means good pilots. Not saying other airline pilots are garbage, because they are most of the time just as good.

@bajesus666 You're an idiot, they don't hand select the nations best pilots. You act like they have some extreme selection process. A Southwest pilot is no better than a United pilot or a jetBlue pilot.
