i am convinced that big buisness is trying to convince themselves that anything that threatens the status que is false. they cant see that if this continues there own familys will suffer and die from the poisons they are pumping into the atmosphere.

In the very first second of the clip Ball says "since 1998 the world has been cooling down". That is a flat out lie.

That makes him a denier - not a skeptic.

This is not ROCKET SCIENCE and was known by weather men and climatoligists since the 1950's. It's called the greenhouse effect since CO2 traps heat in our air like glass holds in heat from sunlight in the greenhouse. The more you increase the Co2 in our air the hotter temps we will have.

The Sun's rays heat the Earth and Sea which emit infared rays or heat radiation. Co2 is a great absorber of infared rays. It's o.k. to have some Co2 which keeps our air and Earth warm. Too much Co2 allows to air to retain more heat so the air gets hotter and it heats the Earth which gets hotter on average. More Ice melts as a result. or more Co2, carbon dioxide which traps heat in our air and raises the average temp of ground on Earth.

Timothy Ball does not know the view taken scientists who do support global warming. he claims that the evidence does not exist! It does not exist for him because he does not know it nor does he want to learn the supporting evidence. In my opinion that is completely unreasonable as all scientists must examine evidence before they can disprove it.

anoniab, I've heard that 100 times before by people who don't believe in global warming; they often use a bigger number of scientists but it doesn't matter; they never show a list of their names and none of them are real scientists who understand the physics and science of global warming. Timothy Ball is a crack pot quack who knows nothing about it and he does not want to know.

cypress1337-It's called fossil because coal is made of things once living that have fossilized into stone. There is no way to tell "old" CO2 from "new". The only difference in what our ancestors burned for energy (trees, etc) and what we burn now is that burning things that have turned to stone produces more energy than its living counterpart.
