Bangkok is a fantastic city full of culture and wonderful palces to explore. I've been to Khao San once. And cannot figure out the attraction. Full of stinking backpacking white people, all getting their hair braided, and buying tacky souvenirs.

@fjt108 it is ok to be taken in small doses.
And no i'm not afriad I have been around asia sinse I was a boy of 5 years old following my mother around on her so called advetures. and ever sinse I could travle on my own, i've made it my mission to seek out the true gems in thailand and other asian countries and to help other people get away from the typical tourist traps.
so I stick by my original statement "the hole were all the crap ends up in bangkok"

@fjt108 I am sad to say that I have to spent time in the so called back-packers paradise, a horrid place full of fakes,nock offs and the lowest of people from all nations.Yes there are many good people there too. As for your comment aout some amazing adventures can start from there is true, but the best advetures start from the most unlikely of places. What i'm trying to say is ksr is a den of cheap thrills and dull pleasures

@ilovebow1991 what a negative comment. KS road is a step on the way to adventure and a right of passage in itself..It's a place where some amazing events can start from...try it...or are you too afraid.
