Watch at 720p. Possibly one of the greatest Christmas duets of all time. This was Bing Crosby's final Christmas show. The track was recorded on 11 September 1977, Bing Crosby passed away on October 14, just over a month after recording the special. In the U.S., the show aired on 30 November 1977 on CBS.
It was always a joy, growing up, to watch ALL the variety style Christmas Specials; now they are just a faded memory. The Bing Crosby Christmas Specials are available on DVD, which I highly recommend. They can be found by various retailers under the title:

This teaming is almost surreal-but brilliant. Bowie who wrote the alternative background lyric, would later say that ...he wasn't sure Bing knew who he was! . A beautiful Christmas classic. Thank you for posting.

@TheKilvo It is available on Sound Choice Karaoke (SC8781 or SC2381). That version, if you want to practice, is on YouTube under the title of "Sing With - Christmas - Peace On Earth / Little Drummer Boy" uploaded by RedMoaje. Just do a YouTube search on it or YouTube code "xO2aa43Cb5k". Hope this helps.
