Man 58 has one of the most beautiful sounding whistles out there among active steam locomotives on tourist lines..

they need the deisle for the grade plus the don't need to run tender first b/c the cabooses all have air horns on the back

Oh boy you almost caught a glimpse of CSXRP on the 1st and second videos. The guy in the second car in the front with the red phillies shirt on looks familiar. I was over 2 feet in front of him oh no lol.

The diesel is there to assist the steam engines on the steepest part of the line, and it later leads the train back to Greenbank
