Martial arts and Chinese calligraphy demonstration in celebration of Chinese lunar new year at Frito Lay Headquarter, Plano, Texas. Writing a name in Chinese calligraphy Clerical Style "Li Shu" on red Xuan paper.
I chose 樂 (happy / lè) and 古 (ancient / gǔ) as a close phonetic translation for the guy.
The bottom part of 樂 is 木 (wood) which is also its section header. In seal scripts, the two diagonal strokes of 木 are closely connected to the vertical and horizontal strokes; while in clerical scripts and some people's personal handwriting habits, the two strokes are written separately from the vertical and horizontal strokes. (They are not "eight").
Thank you.
