This is a great album. The album received mediocre reviews but you're right (this appeals mainly to shoegaze fans). Personally, I think The Floodlight Collective can be appreciated by individuals who seek a different angle in music.

That makes you pure evil. You won't be missing out on much.

Seems like Deerhunter has a lot of side projects. It's not on Rapidshare. I guess I'll never know what it sounds like hehe

Yeah, it's not really an essential album to get. It's not bad, it's just nice background music.

Hmmm, it's hard to say. If I remember correctly it's A Threaded Needle.

how funny, i just got this album yesterday and I'm loving it. my friend recommended this after I got "Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel" by Atlas Sound.

I really dig the Atlas Sound album. It's cool and unusual.

that "elevator going up into the afterlife" analogy was one of the best things i've ever heard. nice one :) and also, thanks, cuz i wasn't sure whether to get that album or not.

I think the album was only 13 bucks, so it didn't break the bank. I was just curious about Deerhunters individual members sound.
