Our guide bought a chicken and cooked it for lunch along the trail during last day of our hike.

  • was your tour guide a Hmong or a Laotian?

  • He was Hmong. He grew up in one of the villages near where we hiked. He was a fantastic guide. We found him at Green Discovery in Laung Prabong. His name was La. I HIGHLY recommend calling ahead to see if you can reserve him as your guide. As he knows the area, and the people, we got a MUCH better tour than another group that came through one of the same villages we were in.

  • Thanks for posting this video. It brings a lot of good memories, yeah I'm Hmong too and I don't watch survival show because it's just a television show this is real life.

I once was raised in the jungle of Laos and survive by eating edible plants, insects and wild animals. When was this taken? Sound like you guys are some sort of good missionary, anyway keep up the good work and God Bless you.

    Thanks,

    Michael
