  • Being honest is not a problem--it's a virtue. Holding your tonge is also a good quality, and knowing when to speak and when to be quiet. This is a situation where he needs to speak up, and he has, and I pray he will keep on speaking up. It's a testament to his character that he's gotten so much flak and abse from it, but he hasn't stopped. Surely, if he was just jealous of Armstrong, he would see this is not making him more popular, so it must be legitimate.

  • Lance says people have an ax to grind. LeMond was the start, but if LeMond disappeared forever, Lance would still have a lot of people who say he doped. LeMond raced with a lot of people who would want to take him down, as Armstrong says,"Had an ax to grind", but I've yet to see a single accusation. Anyone? With him being the poster boy for no-drugs in cycling, seems strange that no one has said anything if he WASN'T innocent. I don't think LeMond doped. I think Lance did.

  • If Lance had kept all his strength and lost 22 pounds as they said he did in 1999, without drugs, then it's very possible he could've won the odd Tour de France. However, he has never failed a drug test, allegedly, but when he has so many close friends coming forward, I just find that impossible to ignore. I've never seen anyone acuse LeMond of doping or any record of him failing a drug test.

  • The sad part about Lance is that he would have propably won the odd TDF riding clean , because (and it is an issue rarely discussed but never disputed) he was Lance Armstrong....

  • Talking too low, Greg

  • Their is something i Like about Greg Lemond AND their is something i don't Like about Lemond, i don't know what it is OVERALL he seems pretty cool

  • Maybe Lance did dope but there is no evidence of it, he never failed a drug test that I know of. People question his performances in the tour but he was a specialist who specialised in the tour only, he wasn't like Hinault or Lemond, these guys rode to win classics also, they were more complete riders which is why they didn't win the tour as many times as Lance. Lance didn't give a damn about the classics, all he rode for was the tour, his whole year was focused on that one race only.

  • Lots of former teammates as well as Paul Koechli have gone on record saying Lemond rode clean. Cyrille Guimard said in an interview that Lemond was the only rider not "specially prepared" on the 84 Renault team. There is zero evidence that suggests he doped. There is a mountain of evidence against Pharmstrong.
