  • You do realize, the physics are emulating John Woo movies? They are not going for real, like Half Life 2, but are going for the bodies being blasted, and flying through the air, as you run in slow motion.

  • See comment above. Class analyzed situation and determined it was unreal for either bullet to cause the man to fly that far.

  • If you researched the game, even a little bit, you would have already known.

A class would have to be dumb to not think it was unreal.

  • You would be surprised.

  • Interesting exposition. This is part of the reason why I scoff at games which advertise "great new physics systems!"

Ragdoll bodies are not real ones. Even when fatally shot, people lose control of their limbs slowly.

  • Of course.

But the point of the video was not to demonstrate how people lose control of their limbs when they get shot, but more of how conservation of momentum works.

The first bullet had more velocity than the second bullet so should cause the man to go further.

When the class actually analyzed the situation, the students determined that neither bullet had sufficient mass nor velocity to cause the man to go that far.

  • it sure is fun.. but nver teach ur studnt with diz techique.....

  • You replied a whole year after I posted? lal

  • We tried GMOD, it failed. D:

  • Gmod can do better, thats my two cents.

  • also understand that those r ragdoll they created like that they can walk because it puts a number of moves.

  • then depending on how far u r if u next to tht guy and shot him he would go higher than think

  • Funny how a video game is used for a physics class, I think my teacher would have a heart attack if I showed up to class with a video like this(lol). Great idea though for using it :)

  • You stupid fuckers, all youve said so far is crap. The main reason why this wouldnt work is because, if he were to go out that far, the shhoter would have to fly back the same distance. Id say that the shooter is lighter than the target, so in fact, she'd have to fly back even further!!
