Janette Toral shares her three rules of e-mail marketing that new Internet users, entrepreneurs, and marketing persons can learn from. Don't be tagged a spammer!
Spam complaints can be a big problem and that is why I use verified opt-in. This way I make sure that I only send e-mail to people who want to receive it.
I agree that it's vital to identify yourself as a sender and to keep your details consistent too - use the same name and e-mail address.
I use AWeber and they provide unsubscribe links in every e-mail that I send out so people can opt-out if they want to.
Branding your name in the address bar also helps.
