From the 2000 Smoky Mountain Steel Guitar Jamboree. Currently working with Ray Price, the great Mike Cass. Another great steel player, Johnny Cox, is playing bass.
Good to hear he got one of the ultimate gigs for a steel picker. Always liked his C6 ,
He goes out on a limb and stays there for ever it seems. I couldn't do one of his licks without getting into a major train wreck. We used to hang out with him 15 years ago, I dropped out of the biz for a Network career, but always wonder where the good ole pickers are playing.
I knew Mike in Minneapolis in the 70s and 80s. It's great to see and hear him here.
