You know when you go to see a parody of a horror movie. You expect it to be funny of course. And it is, at first. But then you notice that the jokes are few and far between, and after a while you start to realize that maybe the director didn't really want to make a comedy, maybe he wanted to make an actual horror movie but didn't really have the courage or knowhow. So he compromised. And you're left with a movie that isn't really funny, nor scary. That's what Bills music numbers remind me of.
