Jacob and Hermione Part 1

Hermione and Jacob both arrive at hogwarts, he meets her on the hogwarts express and they start talking and soon they are best friends, Hermione starts to develop feelings of more than just friendship towards him but he leaves Hogwarts. 5 years later he comes back and Hermione is shocked to see him there, he soon tells her that he has fallen in love with somebody, she tells one of her friends about it. Hermione decides to tell him but she couldn't go through with it, she tries again but finds him with a girl so she runs off crying. The next time she is sitting at a table thinking about how she can get him to notice her and she remembers that there is a party to be taking place at hogwarts.

One question (I'm not arguing). Why is Jacob Black on the Hogwarts Express going to Hogwarts when he isn't even a wizard? I thought Hogwarts is only a school for wizards and witches. I'm just wondering. Good story and video by the way.
