the sensor is behind the mirror... dust on the mirror will affect what you see not the image itself, the problem here would be the mechanism being damaged by the dust but come on... hes not at the beach or something

you shouldnt take the lens cap off unless your putting the lens on cause if dust gets in there good luck taking it out

Ah yeah... you left the sensor exposed for toooo long.
Thats how dust gets on the sensor and is a hassle to clean off.

Dude, you shouldn't leave the sensor exposed. If you're going to take the cap off of the body, put a lens on it. Getting dust on the sensor ruins your images, and it's a pain to clean.
