Some Saturday evening Continuity from December 1996, starting with the end of North West Tonight, festive promos for Animal Hospital and Jurrassic Park (the big film that year) and the standard BBC1 ident into The Simpsons, when it used to be on at 5.30pm on Saturdays only. The Christmas ident didn't debut until the 24th December.

  • Ah so that explains why they didn't show the very first episode of The Simpsons when it was first shown there the previous month. Makes sense to hold it back until Christmas.

Also just seen Rolf Harris on tv there, he never ages!

  • The first Simpons the Beeb showed was a Series 1 episode (No disgrace like home, i think) and the next one was Bart the Daredevil, the BBC didn't show them in order for years. I think this episode was repeated on BBC2 on Christmas Day in 1996.
