  • what is the name of the first march? i love it and hear it all the time but have no idea what it is, i want it for my band

  • @thefword123 Band of the Scots Guards playing the march "Eagle Squadron"

  • Can someone give some details about the route used for the return from Horse Guards in this video? The trip across St James Park to Birdcage Walk seems clear. But I'm confused about what streets are shown just before the park scenes.

  • The streets are Horse Guards Road (heading South) and then Birdcage Walk (heading West).

  • I'm impressed. Not only was the horse at 00.36 in step but had also stepped off on the correct hoof.

  • Thanks.......

  • The queen needs a new car!!!! the one she has now is so ugly.

  • "To Your Guard."

  • What's the name of the march at 05'55 ?

  • Not often do you hear a British Band playing the Basler Marshe at the 2:00 mark Excting ...

  • EAGLE SQUADRON by Kenneth Alford. It honors Americans who flew in UK Air Force before US participation.....info thanks to Robert Moorecock. As an aside, my father James Murricane had the untimely assignment traveling throughout the US for reorganising and retraining surviving B17 bomber crews.

  • @CeremonyConnoisseur :

William IV presented colours to all the Guards regiments. But it appears the practice of the Queen's/King's Royal Standard goes back much further: A history of the Grenadier Guards by LGen Sir F.W. Hamilton,KCB, (Vol III London 1874) describes the presentation of a new King's Company Colour by William IV on 26 June 1832-- "A similiar Royal Standard......had been presented to the Grenadier Guards in former reigns."

    Fascinating topic.
