Andretti Karting 5/7/11 ProCup League GT1 Race #3

10-minute heat race (one of two).

I picked a kart which had laughable straight-line speed, but handled okay in the corners. I qualified sixth (not good for my championship hopes) but manage to finish fifth after a kart failure promoted me. The interesting things happening here are in front of me; I could not keep up with the next kart (#8) and could not benefit from his battle. A handful of errors dropped me back, and past that, there was no chance. My annotations are below:

1:03 Pass on kart #1.
1:07 I try to put my kart in the hole created by kart #1 and kart #8.
1:12 But I don't have the inside line so I can't hold it.
1:22 Pass on kart #1 by kart #8.
1:30 Point-by by kart #1 (the kart was having issues).
4:07 Caught back up to kart #8 while he was battling.
4:45 Beginning of series of errors that dropped me way back...
9:30 Checkered flag (5th place).
