mlewisify, actions and attitudes from historical societies by itself is not an automatic justification towards continuation of such actions and attitudes, and I believe we have evolved over many centuries in our attitudes, including in America where we no longer practice slavery, treat women as property and ban two people of different races from marrying each other. What matters most is love towards yourself, your higher being and all of your neighbors.

mlewisify, I would say that a society declines in morals when hatred and ignorance over a suspect class like gay people is allowed and sometimes encouraged. The morals that I believe in include understanding, compassion and above all love, and these values do not discriminate based on any demographic, including race, gender, age and sexual orientation.

That they got married. What else would they tell them? Why do you think gay people can't explain things to their children?
Are you suggesting this happy family breaks up just so a woman can enter their lives when they're already perfectly happy?

the fact that California gave marriage to same sex couples and then TOOK IT AWAY boggles my mind. I know gay couples who are more in love than some straight couples i know, so does that mean that they don't have the right to marry the one they love? It's ridiculous, it's prejudice, and its antiquated. Marriage is for everyone who's in love.

Good video, but like the prior commentor, I feel that the Frances & Cynthia video was much more impactful. Having the testimony from the child was touching.
