1995 Cleburne High School Band - Chant at SHSU Finals

Bad News: The video sync on this tape is sketchy at best. Looks like IMAGEMAKER RECORDERS weren't too worried about making everything match up.

Good News: The sound quality is -awesome- and what you can see is very clear. It is easy to make out faces you recognize in the front ensemble or in the guard or even among snare drummers that are plainly Hulking out.

Known Knowns: The drumline was good this year but miles behind 96. The hornline was rad. The guard was great as always.

Also, I am sparing you the penury and disgrace of the state prelims performance. I prefer to remember it like this, or at Area, which was probably the best show we'd all ever done together ever, and which I have a tape of around here somewhere.

Yeah the new band director is one of the best the school has had. And we are way more decent then past years!

haha...yea.... bands had a different sound back in the 90s and show concepts were completely different. However just because Cleburne never made state after this doesnt mean none of the shows after this one weren't great. The Rise and Fall of Rome was a great show that happened to be during our non state year. Shit happens >_<

I love that sound that we had! We got third at this contest, then went to State contest two days later in Austin. This was that last time that Cleburne went to State, and probably will stay that way. Have you heard Cleburne's band lately? Woof!! I can't believe the band has gotten that bad, especially with a head director who's an alumnist. He should know better!! He knows what the Golden Pride is supposed to be all about!!!
