This should show you some of what you won't understand because of the language barrier. This song "The End of their World" speaks of the end of the world of power, greed, injustice, racism, violence, etc., which is to say the world we all live in. Words cover a lot of territory, also making the point that, though it is easy to criticize the US and Israel's political actions, France should also take a hard look at itself, for their political powers are acting no better... The idea is that this world of greed is now agonizing, much like a serpent biting its own tail, and as AKH sings at the end: we now await the ned of their world... In a way, it reminds me of what Country Joe Mc Donald said in an interview preceding 'Support the Troops'. He said... "well... put it this way: if there is WWIII, we'll have peace afterwards. Radical idea but... where are we heading anyway right? IAM, conscious rap band started 20 years ago by AKHENATON, following a 3 year sojourn in NYC, is the most conscious Rap band you'll ever find around the world! These guys have their hearts in the right place, to say the least. They are from the South of France, hence the 'different' accent. All of them 'Children of the projects' work hard to advocate a 'revolution of the minds rather than the fists', and teach the young a positive approach to changing their living conditions through understanding. Their philosophy is well expressed in the tune 'UNITED', which unfrtunately i was unable to shoot as i got caught before! Here's a rough translation of the chorus of UNITED, as an introduction to IAM's spirit and awesome writing! These people have culture as well as heart, trust me on that...

J'ai du le voir une bonne vingtaine de fois ce clip et à chaque fois j'en pleure à chaudes larmes. Ils avaient déjà fait assez fort avec "demain c'est loin" et en élargissant leur regard, c'est le notre qu'ils élargissent. Rien que pour ça, j'aime IAM, j'aime leur sincérité, leur simplicité humaine, leur esprit altruiste.

Cette chanson est sublime dans toute sa dimension atroce, elle appelle à la paix, fustige notre conscience et nous amène à être meilleur.
