  • Basically, NextGen will give pilots a much better, much more accurate, much more frequently updated picture of the airspace around them.

  • How did you see all the other aircraft around you if they weren't ADS-B equipped? There are no tangible general aviation benefits, that's just wrong.

  • @pdutube Because the FAA rebroadcasts positions of aircraft they have on their radar.

  • The proposed Australian version of ADSB will not provide weather info.

  • please hurry the ADS-B

  • It will also make clearances much simpler, routes shorter, and delays in climbs and descents much lower. When this integrates into VNAV it could either be very good or very bad depending on conflict resolution ability.
