Finally able to show you all a video of the cessna in action. Really windy day so I was having some issues trying to keep it steady. It does have a brushless motor on it.

  • Great landing! What ESC did you use and what is the KV rating on your motor? What lipo are you using?

I've put in a 1530kv brushless with an 18a esc but I havn't had my maiden yet due to the wind. Not sure if I should use an 11.1v or a 7.4v

  • Stock ESC, and I can't remember the KV because I sold that plane a long time ago. I was also using a 9.6v NiMH battery as well.

  • Very cool video. i like this plane and i am asking for it for christmas. is it really underpowered or is that a myth i hear

  • Well I always like more power but it's got plenty right out of the box.

  • By the way does it come with a brushless motor or did you put that in?

  • No it DOES NOT come with a brushless motor. I put that in myself.

  • Is it easy to put brushless motor on it?

  • @Didgeman80 I would say 7.4 is not a good choice for this plane, i upgraded mine from stock to 4500kv with 60A on 11.1v, its absolutely great. Had a short flight but then weather is not co-operating with me here! hehe

  • do you think this will be a good beginner plane? im thinking of getting one

  • do you think this will be a good beginner plane? im thinking of getting one

  • @kelmag12 still trying to, the whole front of it is in like 20 peices and i need some new propellers

  • @kwlerthanu could you repair it?

  • @Didgeman80 From personal experience I'd say use a 3 Cell 11.1V LiPo....IMO it works a lot better. For ESC I would say that the amp rating should be less than the battery's maximum discharge rate so it won't stress the battery...likewise the motor should also have a rating that is less than the rate of the esc so as to not burn it out......

  • Interesting. I bought a brand new one of these and took it for it's first flight a week ago. With a full charge on the battery and everything set up correctly, I attempted a ground takeoff from tar. Over 100 feet of ground roll and it never left the ground. It just veered off the track. I tried 4 times to get it in the air without success. I don't even dare hand launch the thing since it appears it doesn't have enough power to fly. I'm bummed.

  • i crashed my one of these into a fence
