@opponment1 yer they share the load from the GPU with the CPU too :D

@opponment1 ahhh there are 8 cores on pc ps3 has and 256 mb graphics card and you cant change any of the specifications on an ps3 whilst the ps3 8 cores are typically useless the reason why is because the gpu is the main part of gaming its like the heart of gaming so go shove the ps3 up your ass have you seen the usum graphics card out huh didnt think so

HD effect was infact out when 120hz CRT monitors where out back in 1993 :D then LCD/TFT came along and downed it down to 40hz, what a bitch.

Not true, read my post below.

The first part is not necessarily true. When the PS3 was released, 8800GT's in SLI where very competitive and better then the PS3.
Q6600, 8800GT SLI, 4GB of DDR2 ram. << What a set up for its time, and it still lives on. If I had a rig like that, I wouldn't see the need for an upgrade for years to come.
OC the CPU past 3.2Ghz, up both the GPU's every now and then and walla!

pc is amzing and very historical in gaming..and has aming games but recently with ps3 alunch exclusive gaem titles and there good story are theo nly reason to buy a console.
-
yeap! Exactly. Im not sure if you can answer me, but i've heard that developers use some of the ps3 spus to render the graphics alongside with the graphic card.. think its true?
-
Actually, the PC could have as many cores anytime. It just depends on the use and the price for that many cores. As technology evolves, PC's could be made with more cores and at cheaper price. Sooner or later PC's could top the PS3 in terms of performance and value. The PS3 would just stay the same forever.... but if a new console comes out, thats a whole other story
