Good job holding on there! Good thing the flow wasnt higher.. Some massive boils and whirlpools around there! probably one of the worst spot to swim!

yup, skookumchuck rapids is a tidal flow in british columbia. you can watch it go back and forth with the tide going in and out. it builds from non-moving water and up to a 15 foot wave. the fasted recorded speed was 18 knots.
