Ok seriously. I see ALOT of stupid people not thinking outside the box and instead hating on the idea.

The image of the helmet at the end is WAAAAAAY after reach was glassed. This is supported by the fact that we see plant life and not a charred remains of a planet. So it's been a long ass time. This means it could even be AFTER halo 4 and master chief could have very well returned to reach.

Halo 4 planet has a blue star, Reach has a yellow one.

Halo 4 planet has a mechanical surface, Reach has an Earth like surface

There is no point to return to Reach, it's nothing more then one of the 800 UNSC planets, there are no living Forerunners on Reach, there is no ancient evil on Reach.

It isn't Reach, only retards say so.

It's like saying that Earth is the death star.

@Darkseany he's already returned to reach; in between the events of instellation 04 and the second game he returns to reach to look for spartans so in terms of the storyline it's a dead end, rendering it impossible- does the almost definitely precursor construct in the halo 4 trailer look like reach to you?

after the legendary ending of halo 3 you do see him in cyro but in the halo 4 trailer does that really look like an organic planet to you? most importatntly, he returns to reach in the books to look for a splinter of the spartan team he left behind before the pillar of autumn- on the other hand that takes place in between halo 2 and 3 so while yes, this is after halo occurred, and he might go back there; he's already been to reach- for the storyline, this is a dead end.

@MrAforAwesum He was talking about the Legendary Ending of Halo 3, where the ship is drifiting into an unknown planet, which most are now concieving that it might be reach. Alot of evidence has already surficed that it might take place on reach.

I made a video about this back in July. (Check it out if you havnt already) But at the end of Reach, it has been about 30+ years after the glassing of reach, (And for idiots out there, REACH WAS NOT DESTROYED. The planets oxygen supply was diminished, making it uninhabitable, But still possible to gain life back) You can see the ship which looks like its totaled from a crash, in which the H4 trailer shows the ship, so he might crash land and go back to reach. H4 i believe will be on reach.

Remember at the end of Reach, when it shows Noble-6's helmet with a hole in it, and behind is dust and everything? And then as the narrotor speaks there is a transition to the same area just with the grass regrown, and the white object in the backround? That occurs a while after the events of reach. The video is showing that scene, and trying to say that the white object in the back round could well be the half of the spaceship Master Chief is seen floating about it after halo 3.

@INTERCERT94 your right master chief was on reach BUT he was in the cryo tube and if you play through to the first halo Keys TELLS you that reach was over run by the covident
