@chrismido The first one is an extremely rare Porsche type 128, this was redesigned to address some problems it had and the 166 was born.

@gtr1359 think of it like this its an 1100 or 1000 cc vw engine in the schwim and the kubel so about 25 hp

@pablof59 OH those were gun tractors. The advantage was that they could be delivered by smaller aircraft to the theater instead of being parachuted in. They could fit aboard gliders I think. Pretty crazy vehicle if you ask me, I would have shied away from that one. Give me a swim wagon any day.
