@sidthemuss Sad indeed... and though people like you and I know to respect the immense athleticism of elite wrestlers like Kenny, it has taken a very long time for the MMA world to reluctantly admit it is a good base to start from for fighting. Nobody (who didn't wrestle) wanted to admit it, and now look at all the wrestlers doing well in MMA. I told them so --many times since the early 90's! You would think they would highlight this source of athletes in the Olympics much more...

i remember watching this live and still think this was the most nerve racking match ever. it was wierd how in 84, 88 and a lil in 92 they would show full matches, and not only medal matches. 88 i remember watching about 3 john smith matches, a couple of both the schear brothers, tim vanni, a couple from nate carr and a few more. when henry cejudo won the gold a couple years ago they had a couple blips late at night about it...so sad
