Some sounds made with Alesis Micron. iPod is used as a source of external signal. In third part weather forcast sample from http://freesound.org and title theme from Echo the Dolphin 2 (Sega Mega Drive) game are used.

  • Very good work! Like most people here I'm torn between buying a MicroKorg or a Micron. +1 for the Micron :)

  • wow

Have you noticed that these so called "nerds" are the people that are revolutionizing todays society of electronics and technology. i gurantee the people that you mostly admire in technological advances have been called nerds and are major contributors to todays revolution as well

  • @neonlightsmike buy a micron! ;-)

    watch?v=_k-veaWkTUA

  • Creativity at its best

  • Ahh that was sweet!, i was waiting for it to turn into a song at the end that would have been awesome

  • Good demo!

  • @neonlightsmike get the micron.

  • this is great! So can you basically use the audio in ports on the micron to play a clean backing track through, or do you have to add some kind of FX to it?

Id like to be able to play e.g. a song through it and play along using the synth. is that possible and easy to set up?

  • Echo the Dolphin is an extremely legitimate game and this is really good.

  • @maxmo14 not harder than any other keyboard instrument. Programming can be a little bit tricky though, depending on the model of synth you're using. If you want to create your own sounds from scratch on a micron you'll have to know what you're doing. I love my micron, but getting it do do exactly what I wanted required some work and lots of trial and error. The sound capabilities of this little machine are staggering which makes it well woth the effort.

  • This is really cool, make some more stuff like this x)

  • finally there are a few people popping up that know how to use the micron. great job.
