Apart from the fact this video has been speeded up a bit, things are not as chaotic as we might think. We've just visited Kerala and it doesn't take long to realize that there is "method in this madness". There are very few collissions. Horns are tooted frequently, not out of "road rage" but to let others know where you are. I sensed that there are many unwritten rules and it works. I didn't see anyone get fined.

not all asains drive in this unorganized manner. i have lived in many asian countries and it seems like it is just india which has a messy traffic system. korean and japanese traffics are pretty much organized in the same way as the states'.
