The person I talked to was a representative for the event itself. Therefore they expressed the official views of the planners of the event.
If the event is non inclusive, I can't stand behind it. According to the representative for the event on the phone its not for all people. The person said "Because I am not black I am not welcome" Pretty much sums up the official viewpoint for the organizers of this event.

read your own words: the attitude of the person on the phone NOT the event itself. who knows who answered the phone. their attitude is much more about them than about you.
my point is: If you believe in something stand behind it. If your belief is strong noone answering the phone will deter you from them.

Just repeating what I was told by someone on the phone representing the organizers of this protest. I would be interested if it was inclusive but apparently white people aren't welcome. Apparently this is a black only protest and only blacks are welcome cause only blacks are worthy of help.
Thats what the attitude of the person on the phone was. Why should I care about a cause if it is racially segregated? Obviously the organizers are only interested in helping blacks not every poor person.

um...no. the u-3 numbers are near 10% - one out of ten are without jobs. the dakotas are rural and cant support the country, let alone detroit.
nevermind the logistical nightmare of moving to another state where employment isnt guaranteed...the unemployment rate during the 30's hit 25%. that didn't even count the out of work farmers. people starved to death.
you are living the american lie...that things are plentiful and if one works hard, they can succeed. sorry man, that ain't real!

yea and everything is black and white. that's the most overused word by white people in detroit that i've heard of. just shut up and come or stay home. how interested could you really be with that kind of concern. what the flip do you care what the person on the phone thinks? this region is dying so either help or leave.

The 'change we need' is to re establish the Republic and have government obey the Constitution, the Law of the Land.
You do not have the 'right' to a job, but if you really want one, you can find one. If there is no jobs in your area, MOVE. Look to N and S Dakota and surrounding areas, tons of jobs.

This event is hosted by some extremely RACIST people. I called and asked about it and was told because I was white I was not welcome.
Doesn't surprise me though. Detroit is the most racist city in America.
