Tasered/Beaten Pastor on Trial for His Beliefs and Preaching?!?!?!

Pastor Anderson is on trial next week for 2 misdemeanors: failure to obey an officer's order and obstructing a public highway. There will be a hearing on the constitutionality of the border patrol checkpoint on Wednesday, Dec 16, and there will be a 2 day jury trial on Thursday and Friday, Dec 17 and 18. The trial is open to the public and is being held in Yuma, AZ.

The prosecutor is trying to enter Pastor Anderson's sermons as evidence against him (?!). Sermons like "Gender Identity," preached only a few weeks ago and having nothing to do with this incident. Also his YouTube video entitled "911 was an Inside Job" along with many others.

Isn't this a free country? Do my Biblical and political opinions make me a criminal? What is happening to America?

What you did was firstly ungodly and not christian behavior at all. You are to comply with law enforcement. If you tell them frankly "I do not consent to search of my person or property" and they search you illegally THEN you sue them. You do NOT resist law enforcement unless your life is in danger.

I really don't see what Obama has to do with this? This is all Nazi tactics put into force under Bush's "Patriot Act" ... under which all law abiding American citizens lost their basic rights. Also, since this happened in Arizona, Republicans like Governor Jan Brewer are the law of the land, where they can pull you over, suspecting you to be an illegal alien, just because they 'think' you might be! Blaming this situation on Obama is ridiculous, and brings your credibility into question.

Your sermons are being used against you because they can establish the frame of mind of the defendant (that's you). It's obvious that you're a conspiracy freak, and that can and will be used against you. It can show whether or not you're being rational, plus, it can establish a motive. The 1st Amendment only protects your right to say things, not against the consequences for saying them.

Pastor, you have not Jesus for your example and for that very reason you have been found wanting. Jesus is our example and you know it. Jesus never threatened the Roman soldiers. He never went into a discourse why he doesn't have to obey those in authority. The border guards and police may be no better then the Roman soldiers who killed the Lord, still Jesus only thought of how he could be a good example so that later they could change and be saved. These police risk their precious lives for you
