That basist chick, Cait O'Riordan, married Costello in 1986, then skipped some Pouges' tour gigs and finaly left the band later that year. She was also the first choice to sing Fairytale of New York with Shane.

Every time I listen to this song it makes me laugh, you couldn't think of a better pub song if you tried. The Pogues really are fantastic :)
