This is my version of a French 80s song originally by French artist Daniel Balavoine, one that is radically different from the bubbly synths and drum machines of the original song! This version features only my voice and piano.

Daniel Balavoine was very popular in France during the 80s and after his untimely death in 1986 in a helicopter crash, he left behind a body of work that still endures today for many French speakers. And this was the last big hit he had before he died, and is one of my personal favorites.

  • @alexandredesideri Merci d'avoir écouté mon interprétation de cette chanson classique! I first heard this song a few years ago when I listening to French radio online and I fell in love with it. I'm really interested in French music and culture so I'm familiar with much of his work as well as other French singers like Mylène Farmer, etc. You're right, not many Americans know him, except for us French-speaking ones. :)

  • Thank you so much Anne for your interpretation of this beautiful song.
