  • wow! ur machines suck a fat cock! and they are called holders! NOT jigs!!!and u need to geta new machine we have the $20 grand granite top triple head.always sharpen hockey skates at 3 eights and goalie figure at half inch. u need to sharpen ur skates once a week when ur skating up to 3 ice times a week.and NEVER DO 5/8s!! THAT IS THE WORST SHARPEEN IN THE WORLD!!!! THE DEEPER THE HOLLOW THE FASTER AND BETTER U CAN TURN!!!!!!!1 NEVER USE A LEVEL! THEY WEAR OUT AND SUCK! always heel to toe!

  • Guys he ment 20 passes on the grinding stone, not with the skate

  • @oddcarom

You said it. Wutta mutt. Ya, some people like a little blade with their uber-rocker. And on a Blademaster (CR) no less. Jeeze.

The owner of the skates would have been better off sharpening his Graf's by using a rat file with his eyes closed.

And really, 10/16 as this mutt's preferred maxed out radius. Whew, scary. I wouldn't think of being on anything less than 13/16, prefer/use 14/16, but what do I know........?

  • @ac1dman This man knows his sharpening. I would trust him with my knife... C WAT I DID THERE!? I CAN EXPLAIN IT 2 U!!

  • I work in a pro shop, and I have to say everyone has their own style of sharpening. Our manager never adjusts the nobs on the skate holder, I personally do. I go heal to toe, he goes toe to heal. Both of us never have complaints from customers, and we both have customers that only want him or me to sharpen their skates. To me, this guy doesn't seem to pay attention while he's sharpening, he didn't even check the level after that skate. 20 passes is too much, I do 8 at the most per skate.

  • this guys technique is horrific.

  • Great information.

  • Toe-to-heel for hockey skates, heavy on the stone, too many passes, extreme rounding of the blade. I wouldn't trust this butcher to sharpen a pencil.

  • awesome video
