Keith Olberman speaks out against the growing influence of corporations within our nation and electoral process.

We already live in a Corporatocracy in many ways, corporate lobbyist ensure that private companies and banks are allowed to destroy lives without prosecution. Chemical companies are allowed to poison entire towns and falsify safety reports, oil companies are allowed to ignore our safety laws and are able to get away with destroying entire coastlines, pharmaceutical companies are able to get away with experimenting with dangerous combinations of mind altering drugs on children in mental hospitals (I've personally seen this), food companies are allowed to get away with gross violations of health standards, all because they are able to buy out our government.

The future we have to look forward to is even worse than this if Corporations are allowed to remain unchecked. Corporate power is constantly expanding, often trumping the rights of the citizen, they're already taking over the internet, starting wars, and robbing us blind. Private Banks and Private Companies are getting away with murder, and the people we elect to represent us are selling out our interests for theirs.

  • um...NEWSFLASH : Most of this is already happening....

  • They didn't listen..and now look....This year we have Citizens United vs the FEC and the corps won...this year they are demonizing Unions....this year they are throwing out more and more shills like cain and bachmann and romney.....Keith Olbermann deserves a Nobel Peace prize....

  • @vpertoso

Dumbass, he quit MSNBC...*TWICE* (one in 2011 and again in 1997) because he was pissed off about their corporate structure/nature!!! HOW IN THE FUCK can you possibly think he's a corporate robot???

  • This is how the Federal Reserve was created in 1913. A cabal of rich international banker’s lobbied for it and got people elected to enact it. By the way I think you Keith Olberman are bought out by corporate America. Who stops George Soros from buying the Democratic Party? All Democrats are working for their corporate masters like you are. We-the-People will stop all who atempt to dismantel the US Constitution as the law af this nation.

  • @marcusjones2000 yeah this guys a few dozen years too late eh

  • He called the teabaggers "bastards". That was awesome.

  • This has been going on for a while. Lobbying is by definition the purchasing of votes. This process of lobbying is deeply embedded into our political process and is perfectly legal. We just don't realize it as a nation. There are several web sites that detail the money spent on campaigns in relation to the passing of legislation.

For all intensive purposes, lobbying and lobbyist are the core problem with our political process.
