@Tommygun1135 - Well actually there is one! It's called D2X-XL! It combines D1 and D2 and upgrades the graphics and other stuff for use on modern PC's!

Yeah. And since it isn't affordable to hire enough people to pilot all the mining ships, they'll have to use computers, which will eventually fail and... Well you know the rest.

yeah well you could just have manually controlled robots. I have a book called "mining the sky" and it basically has an expert saying it is *very* economically viable to mine resources from the solar system, it just requires a large investment.

I think, one day, provided that no new Dark Age happens, it is inevitable that someone will take advantage of that and perhaps get a monopoly in a chilling parallel to the PTMC
