As a former Oink user, I can tell you you're misinformed.
-->It was an English site. It just used Dutch servers.
-->Registration was free, but you had to be invited by an existing member. You COULD donate if you liked.
-->It wasn't dedicated to pre-released music, it was dedicated to ALL music. A few users may have uploaded pre-released music, but it wasn't as though it was an epidemic.

This guy has o idea what he's talking about Oink was an invite only torrent site with a ratio, plain and simple. It was the best music torrent site on the net and it will be greatly missed. I hope another one pops up soon as this was a great site in discovering great unknown music.
