@juannakamori Her voice did become even deeper and a little hoarse as time went by. But that was aging and fatigue from yrs of intensive use. Up til the end, I's say she still managed to keep her voice together enough to remain a professional vocalist. As for her bungled romance with Machi, I think while the media did drum it up the best they could, there was a lot of truth in their reports. What's obvious was that Akina did not take their breakup well. That much was for sure.

@trent8002003 About matchy who know if that relationship ended for better. personally talking I think that was a relationship created and pulled by the media mass and the only affected there was our Akina she as a woman received the whole impact in terms of feelings, hope, success, and discrimination (for her dark episode) etc, but as you said "She is one tough cookie".
God Bless the Uta-Hime

@trent8002003 but those are just speculation, last year people said that her voice was quite damaged, but I don’t think so, she grown up just as a common human being and people change through years. You’re totally right about the akina's image back to the 90's with dear friend, she looked really skinny and probably there was an issue related to her weight, but I wouldn't say that she still having that kind of issue may be she has some sequels.
-
@juannakamori I am sure Akina has lots of issues. Weight is only one of them. Her problem is that she didn't look only skinny. She looked at times skeletal, like she was suffering from some eating disorder. You could check out her *Dear Friend* video. It was horrifying. She suffered a lot emotionally from the debacle with Machi and a string of other relationship flops. But she soldiered on both as a singer and an actress for many many years. She is one tough cookie.

@trent8002003 yeah yeah i know that, but what would i said she is japanese, seiko also looks kinda skinny not as akina but skinny somehow, or no?
trent8002003 do you think that akina has an issue in terms of weight?
-
@juannakamori True. Both Minako and Shizuka are skinny. But those 2 are skinny from day 1. For Akina, also partly because of her long career, we witnessed a significant drop of weight and consequent change in appearance which is quite unusual as aging usually makes a person (even an artist) to gain, not lose weight. Just compare her appearance at early *Kinku* and late *Appetite*, you'd know what I mean.

@trent8002003 is just her natural complexion japanese people are skinny some cases. shizuka kudo, minako honda (r.i.p.)

I agree. She's almost skeletal. But she's been like that for years and has continued working through it all. Don't know how she'd did it.
