From Northern Exposure, Season Four, Episode 25 (I belive.) A song-story similar in some ways to an Aesop's Fable. (Although, it isn't a fable of Aesop in truth.)

  • @chrste1712 You can't judge the video unless you are familiar with the Northern Exposure television series

  • Always liked this song.. But this is most ridiculous video av ever seen

  • I was a child when one of my brothers played this for me. Sure wish I hadda paid better attention to the words.Would have saved me an immense amount of heartbreak and a few broken bones.

  • Australia has some of the most deadliest snakes in the world. Good thing Shelly lives in Alaska.

  • Though annoyed by so much singing in this ep, Shelly is pretty...hot singing this.

  • Oscar Brown Jr. did write it, and he recorded it in 1966.

  • I think this song was written by Oscar Brown Jr. And it's on one or more of his albums. Great song.

  • Shelley was incredibly hot singing this-good find!-Love Northern Exposure

  • Warmed any snakes? The Adder snake lives "underground" and sneaks up on unsuspecting grazing sheep through holes in the ground. Their shepherd has to pour a circle of oil around their holes so they slide "back down where they came from" to protect his sheep.
