Classic Game Room HD reviews AIR BUSTER for Sega Genesis. This Air Buster review on the Genny (aka Mega Drive / Megadrive) shows gameplay footage during the review reviewing this Japanese made SHMUP for the 16-bit wonder-console. In Air Buster you pilot a space ship against hordes of enemies and end bosses in this horizontal side scroller. This may not be one of the most famous games on the Sega Genesis but it is one of the better and more challenging SHMUPS on the console. This shoot 'em up has excellent gameplay, good music and a punishing difficulty level. If you are up for mass spaceship shooting carnage and 2D mayhem then Air Buster may be the game for you. This Sega Genesis cartridge was purchased used and cost CGR only $1. Classic Game Room is the retro reviewer reviewing shmups for the Sega Genesis and new games for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and Wii. Watch our several hundred reviews to learn about popular and obscure games and decide what you want to own in your classic and new video game collection!

  • Hahaha, love it.

"A number so negative the enemies would actually kill themselves."

Great comedy, I love these reviews. Nice and laid back.

  • @gamesDAMNED you can find games real cheap on eBay, thrift stores are good. They tend to be more expensive if you buy them at a local retro gaming store.

  • i just picked this up today for $2 and its a pretty kool game

  • Mark seems to have some bullet-hell skills! I'm horrible at shooters.. but I have Truxton coming my way so it'll be time to get some skills!

  • Where are people finding Genesis carts for a dollar? There are a number of used game shops around the Twin Cities, and nearly all of them are horribly overpriced. Those stores are charging $15-$20 for a game, and we're talking only the cartridge, not the box. I have to dig around to find games for $5 or less. Quite frankly, I'm jealous.

  • This was Aero Blasters on Turbo Grafx 16

  • There was a free glove you could send in to Kaneko for. It was fingerless, except for the thumb and was worn on the left hand. I think it was made to allow one's thumb to glide more easily over the directional pad, all while making you look like a pimp.

  • "Crushing difficulty"...yesssssss! None of those wussy modern 3D "shooters" that you can complete while catching up on Pokemon episodes for me.

    And I don't watch Pokemon...

  • I remember playing this while I was 5

at 1:48 I was like "Holy, giant flying motorcycle" LOL XD
