LOL, former used car saleman Bhagavan Dass...fell on hard times after a life of materialism and found getting back into his roots was good for business...after stints into born again christianity...when Bhagavan Dass got drunk at the Naropa Institue and passed out, a Zen Buddhist teacher cut off his long braid because it was a symbol only for true spiritual teachers, not phonies...
my feelings are this guys on an ego trip. i read his book, and be here now. i think he has very sincere intentions actually, but hes too much about himself
ya got me listenin'..God is not a big deal. Definitely had to hear you explain that one. I didn't understand or hear the word, maybe.. about the little guy on the tray and...where's your...thing? at? Huh? Thing? Little thing? Hmmm, gosh, reference to what? About the tree, or a flower, or your daughter, Michael, if you give it love, it sends love, and it thrives. Sending love to our children is crucial. And yeah, I guess to trees too, as you say.
@hansjoergajja I think he was just using the magazine pictures to make an example of how some people approach religion or buy into more of a mob mentality versus a personal relationship or path. In his autobiography "It's Here Now" he talks about a lot of different experiences including a life altering experience with Jesus that he had after he lived in India. He was a Christian for some time and then adopted a more open path to religion. He also talks about experiences with other paths.
Bhagavan Das (Michael Riggs) author of Its Here Now (Are you?) and Ram Das (Richard Alpert) author of Be Here Now are 2 different people...

@direwolf661 google search "rude awakening by Charles Carreon" for a really good sense of the real story.
