  • What was the point of banging gears on the dyno ? You surly was not checking HP !

  • @honda350r Quarter miles runs. Most of my videos are of the quarter miles runs. They are much more exciting than the hp runs...

  • Was the car running the original 350 LT1? What was the horsepower to the rear wheels?

That puppy wanted to be unleashed!!!!

  • I think it was in the 370 rwhp range. I don't know if it was the original engine. My guess would be no as it has lots of upgrades all around.

  • This car has now been upgraded to a 427.

  • Awesome American Muscle!!! Whats in the engine bay a 350 or 396?

  • This car is running a 350.

  • @Tallion99 Thanks ! Nice car

  • @beeroosterm

All of the modification was done in 1975, when he and my grandfather built it.. And NO, it wasn't his first car. The Z/28 power-train of from a completely totaled '67 Z/28, there was no possible resurrection, the mangled body was scrapped... The car had about 55,000 miles when the transformation began. Other than the power-train, a set of Ansen-Sprint mags, and some old BFG GT Radials, its an all original car. The odometer now sits at 82,000 original miles..

  • @Sarcasticscum That's an awfully valuable powertrain retrofitted to another awfully valuable car. What the hell was your father thinking?

  • @beeroosterm

Yeah.. My dad's got a '57 Bel Air with a full 1967 Z/28 power train (engine, M-22 transmission, 3.73 posi).. The MP-coded 302-4bbl sbc makes 350hp and that's only because it has a higher lift and longer duration cam in it.. That thing zips up to 6500 RPM before you shift.. beast of a car.

  • @Sarcasticscum I suppose...Wish there were dyno figures available

  • @beeroosterm

Not really.. The Z28s had some crazy high compression ratios.. Doesn't take much to up the horsepower on an engine that makes 11:1 compression.

  • An angry camaro
