Traxes the Drowranger of Dota 2 was converted into Ashe from League of Legends via Photoshop. I think I could have improved the face a bit, but well... heres the link to the .psd sourcefile for the ones who want to check it out: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16277304/ashe.zip

1. Dota was designed by a guy nicknamed "Eul", He was then recruited by Blizzard to develop WoW..

2. Steve "Guinsoo" Feak inherited the legacy and developed Dota All Stars... He was then recruited by Riot to develop LoL..

3. IceFrog inherited it from Feak and He is still serving Dota... He is now the lead developer of Dota 2...

And btw Dota was an inspiration from the Starcraft mod map "Aeon of Strife"....

@MrSpookytaco I was taking you seriously until you said "I believe that the graphics in LoL are superior" lmao. I play LoL and have only watched gameplay of Dota 2 on youtube, and Dota 2 graphics shit all over LoL graphics. Doofus. If you're talking about "no I prefer the style of LoL" well then ok, but if you're talking about quality and detail of design, then Dota 2 shits all over LoL graphics.

@Abnewstein I have to admitt, the graphics are a bit outdated, but when compared to DOTA1, not 2. ( which is a new game ), it's still better. Nevertheless, another point of yours is valid, too. The balance indeed is poor at times.

However, once you get onto ranked games, it requires some skill to defeat top1000 players.

I will definitely give DOTA2 a go, but who knows. Now that I'm totally addicted to SWTOR, I don't think I'll bother starting any new f2p game... maybe apart from GW2.

@TheBl4ckPr1nce As u all know, LoL is beginner friendly while dota requires some skill... I didnt mean any disrespect, im just stating the opinions of most Action RTS players... Also LoL lacks hero balance, while icefrog does a good job for dota nerfing and buffing heroes.. Not to mention the cartoonish graphics of LoL....

Conclusion:

1. If 1000 ppl say a foolish thng, its still a foolish thng...

2. Dota for pros, LoL for newbies...

@Abnewstein ive never heard such a piece of illogical bullshit. I can easily changed ur sentence into: LoL is a massive hit, hence it needs no introduction of new graphics etc. in LoL2.

The reason DOTA2 is created, is the fact that DOTA had 5 mln less players than LoL. Sigh.

How successful LoL is... well, it is beyond any doubt. Evidence? Over 15 mln registered players... DOTA, and now DOTA2 can only dream of such a number. You can easily google it.
