@DiverseLA He actually just says "project" there is no "no" at the end, you probably just misheard it. Anyway the reason why the Japanese like to say project as "project" is simply because we like to borrow words from English from time to time. Other common English words we borrow are stuff like "computer", "keyboard", "speaker" etc. It's just something we like to do I guess lol.
