Muslims believe Ishmael and Hagar went to Mecca and built the Kaaba and that Muhammad is a "descendant" of Ishmael. Ridiculous. This isn't found in the Qur'an, its found in Sahih al Bukhari hadith written approx. two centuries after Muhammad. The Hadith says Ishmael married an Arab woman from the tribe of Jurhim whose descendants eventually became the Quraish tribe. This is in the Islamic tradition, but in the Biblical tradition it is remarkably different (COntinue to next comment)

@cool12threeman Yes, this is how us muslims believe it, and we have proofs for all of this. As for the Sahih Bukhari, whats the matter? Yes it may have been years later, but for each saying there is a chain of narrators that leads back to the prophet, all of which were trustworthy? So what point are you trying to make?

@chargerlovrs The Torah of the Old Testament says that Ishmael and Hagar went to the Wilderness of Paran not Mecca and and Ishmael married Egyptian woman not a woman from the tribe of Jurhim. As a muslim, you cannot say that the Torah is corrupted because it is the Law of Prophet Moses. There are several verses in the Qur'an where Prophet Isa confirms the Torah of the Jews and Muhammad himself put his hand on the Torah and swore by it when he signed the Constitution of Medina with the Jews.

@cool12threeman Yes, we believe in The Old Testament, however it has been altered and the original version does not exist anymore, therefore it is no longer the word of God anymore. If the original version was brought out, we would believe that is correct one-hundred percent, but we would follow the rulings of the Quran just because it is the newest revelation.

Islam means submission &surrender 2 the will of the creator (the only religion that's not named after a man or a family), It's the religion of all the prophets from Adam to Mohamed, Islam stands on a pillar that there is no god except the creator and that he sends prophets 2 call people from worshiping the creations 2 worship the creator, all the creations serve the human, however, human has 1 purpose in this life is 2 worship god 2 go 2 heaven (our original place), our father Adam used 2 live.
