While I usually relish the chance to bash scientists I'm gonna pass this one up. In cases like this it is better safe than sorry. If a tsunami did happen like it did Chile and neighboring countries it would have been a even greater disaster than it already is. I would rather waste an afternoon than be washed out to sea or drown by a tsunami.
