This is a short CBC News story by Sean Kavanagh about the loud banging noise that runs throughout the day. The noise is because of the construction crew banging tall steel structures in the ground while building the new rapid transit system from the Downtown area to the University of Manitoba. The sound can be heard as early as 06:00 and carries on until as late as 22:00. The work is scheduled to last for the next year but the worksite will move about every month as the line for that area is completed.
