  • Jimmy wrote a lot a songs for Art Garfunkel, and it;s those songs that I love most. They seem to speak to my soul.... who I am inside. I wanna hug Jimmy too, he's a true legend.... <3

  • jimmy is playing here in Oz .at the moment ,,doing a gig in a small town about 100 km from Melbourne ,,, a little room that wouldnt seat more than 200 to 300.,, cant make it unfortunately,,gee its a long way from prime time U.S TV in the late 60's..

    .

  • Here is a man I wish I could hug for his/this gift of song. My mother blessedme with the love of all story songs and great compositions. And, this song binds me to her and this lovely song. Gratitude for whomever posted this video lesson. Thank you very much.

  • @RaggedTelecaster I think Kristofferson is a fine singer. He doesn't mechanically versatile voice, but the guy can emote!

  • I think Kristoferson is a marvelous songwriter, but he certainly is no singer (in my opinion) when compared to some of the singers that sing his songs. But take a guy like George Jones who maybe wrote 3 songs in his life, he's not good at writing them, but can he sing? Absolutely. Some are great writers, some are great singers, and being one does not necessarily make you the other. That's all I'm saying.

  • @RaggedTelecaster You mean he can't do his own songs justice? If you're talkin' about the way he sings Up,Up and away you're right, but here it's just so entertwined....allthough I think Glenn's version remains the rolemodel..

  • I love this song - and especially the way Jimmy Webb performs it.

  • Jimmy shows us why great songwriters should leave the singing to great singers. Marvelous piece.

  • his green piano story...haha...a real quotable annecdote...lol

  • wow...beautiful piano, lovely man...
