I hate to burst your over population bubble but all the people in the world all 7 billion could have a 1000 square foot apartment in Texas and the population will go down drastically by 2050 after topping out at about 10 billion.

There is no food shortage people starve because there is no money to be made by feeding them and their oppressive governments take aid from countries like the U.S.and builds mansions and armies instead of feeding their people

I think that some people are brainwashed by the propaganda that has been going on for years. Of course the food industries are going to make you believe that the product they are selling is healthy when it actually genetically modified. It is a money grab.

My local farmers don't use GM seeds and their tomatoes are big, delicious and beautiful. And they're not hippies either--just farmers. How big do you need your tomatoes to be anyway? ;-)

Actually local farmers use every method to keep worms out of their veggies...including GM seeds. Tomatos grow bigger and harder with genetically modified seeds instead if softer and smaller.

It may create it's own pesticide but the amount is god damn small that it won't hurt rats in 10 fucking years.

Smoking and alcohol is 100x more dangerous but no one is complaining.

I'm not a hippie either, but if you go to your local farmer's market you'll see lots of beautiful tomatoes that 1) don't have any worms and 2) aren't GMO.

In response to those who think GMOs are the answer to feeding an over populated world here is something you dont know the population growth rate is already going down in comparison to previous years 2001 1.24% growth rate 2012 1.07% Google it I did. Is it that hard to understand that a family of 4 (Mom Dad and 2 kids) is zero growth rate.

I'm sorry I have to disagree with you on that. :) I think you are oversimplifying a bit. We most certainly have not solved the problem when it comes to the problems the internal combustion engine has caused. Look at China, over 1.2 million deaths per year from air pollution alone...on a global level the problem is even larger. As far as GMO is concerned we should not proceed until we fully understand the long term ramifications both to the environment and health. To do so would be foolishness.
